Logistics Pipes is a Minecraft mod that dates back to 2012. Originally a BuildCraft add-on, this mod is a long-standing favorite of mine that some dedicated members of the community have not just maintained, but overhauled with major improvements and a fresh visual look. This is the first part of a tutorial for Logistics Pipes that explains how the mod works as we construct some small, but useful builds that show what this mod can do.

This tutorial assumes that you know how to look up and follow crafting and smelting recipes, either with the vanilla recipe book or a mod like JEI.
